It's said that adults can't learn languages like children... but has anyone tried yet?

I mean children usually have a 24/7 private language teacher who repeats every word and sentence a thousand times with them until they get it. I'm currently learning Japanese and I feel like I would benefit so much from this child-approach of language learning, but of course this is not possible. At least there are some videos on Youtube trying this approach of immersion. I just wished there was more material :D
