Title of 'Viva la Vida'

So I believe this translates from Spanish to 'live life'. However I'm confused with a couple things, first, what is this conjugation of the word 'viver (to live), because (I) live = Vivo, (you) live = Vives, and (they) live = Vives, so where does viva come from? Secondly, why is it 'la Vida' and not just 'vida'? Would it be more accurate to translate it to 'Live the Life'?
