4 year old i take care of at school that is attached to me doesnt speak any english, i dont speak any spanish. what do i do?

theres a 4 year old at my k-12 tiny school that im besties with, but every time he talks i just have to smile and nod. what if he asks a question? i really need an alternative to smiling and nodding, and using google translate in a conversation especially with a 4 year old doesnt really work. please help
