I enjoy language learning. I learnt mostly through reading and watching videos. Recently I have been thinking about setting goals to track my progress. I thought it'd be a good idea to take language tests, such as Dele for Spanish and Jlpt for Japanese. However, the experience of preparing for the exam is not pleasurable and enjoyable at all, which kind of de-motivates me in a way or another. I am now thinking if this feeling is something that I have to get over with or, it simply means exam-oriented goals arent just for me. How do u guys set goals to track ur progress?
