I bought the French one and it says it has 400 cards. And it actually does, but about 50 are completely blank, not even numbered as the rest are. Not sure if that was done on purpose so you can add new words to the collection or not. Some were white cards that goes into the first 300 (1-300), several were blue that is the last 100 (301-400), so doubtful the last owner could really match up colors perfectly to the amount of cards needed and these cards are not standard sized cards either.
The box still had what I assumed was the original circle of tape on both ends (or maybe that is a more recent thing) and when pulling off one side, the tape pulled some of the cardboard. But there was also an extra 33 1/3 LP sleeve, 4 records as it should be with correct records and sequences, but 5 sleeves and a few beads and a needle...
So assuming it was partially used and then resealed and sold. It's old. Looks vintage at maybe the 60's. Just curious if I am short a few dozen cards that is supposed to have the French language on them. Or maybe this was common practice for the company.
The box is worded in such a way that it could be interpreted that I got everything- 400 cards, 300 vocabulary "items" and 100 structure cards...
Also written-
200 basic vocabulary "items"
100 synonym and antonym "cards"
100 structure "cards"
Maybe the "items" could be a couple vocab words on some of the same cards? And all cards regardless of being written on, equals 400? So this was so long winded. Just tried to explain best I could. Thank you.
