What language should I learn?

I am a English speaker from Texas that really wants to learn a language for fun but doesn’t know what to learn. Some quick standards for the language rq: 1. It can not be a romantic or Germanic language

2.The alphabet has to be similar to the English alphabet

  1. The language would have to be relatively simple to learn, at least 1 year to be exact

  2. It can not be Esperanto (just because)

P.s: It would make things easier if the language was on duolingo but it doesn’t have to be.
