Re: Viktor Bout - "Bout" doesn't sound like a Russian surname, so how come he has that instead of something more Russian-sounding, like "Bouzhovsky," "Bouzhenov," "Bouzhogin" or "Boushenko?"

Do you agree that Bout doesn't sound like a Russian surname? Was it because his ancestors were immigrants to Russia? Where did they immigrate from?

If his family weren't immigrants, how did he end up with such an un-Russian sounding surname then?
