Is Copying a Page in Your TL Useful in Any Way?

I would love to hear what you guys think. I’m trying to learn spanish and i just was wondering if copying a chapter from the book is useful.

Here is my reasoning :

1)- You are being exposed to new vocabulary

2)- You are being exposed to the different grammar rules without having to think too much.

3)- writing makes you really focus on what is there.

is this just pointless? will there be any fruit to this when it is paired with other resources and input?
