Ok so I’m from the US, specifically TX. The only other language I can read,write, and speak in is Spanish. I can understand and read some other romantic languages thanks to my background in Spanish. However, I have an American brain when trying to learn Korean and Japanese on Duolingo. The kanji/Hangul is so foreign to me. I was wondering if it’s possible (and how) to learn to speak Korean, mandarin, and Japanese without learning to read or write it. I listed to some Kpop and watch some k dramas and YouTube so I know some phrases in Korean already. How do I improve?
