When you are trying to improve your listening skills, do you think it's better to take a 3-ish minute clip and dissect all of its contents over the span of 30-40 minutes to improve your comprehension. This includes listening and relistening, gathering new vocabulary, distinguishing accents, etc.
Or is it better to just digest 30-40 minutes without worrying about understanding everything being said.
Also, I'm asking this in regards to high level content. E.g. watching a clip about the challenges an engineer faced fixing special type of miliary equipment. I don't care about lower level stuff (e.g. people having a conversation about the weather, their job, or explaining emotions), because this kind of stuff is naturally gathered regardless of technique.
