What app or course gives the most useful beginner for every day use?

I like duolingo but I find the volcabulary they use is very odd. It's just random not focused on the first things you may want to learn first when landed in a new country. Shopping, meeting people, getting around etc

Are there any other apps focused on this type of more useful language?
