What are some methods, tips, and tricks that you do to learn a language?

I wanted to add ideas to my language journey and was curious as to what other people find useful that I didn’t think of doing.

Here is what I am currently doing: I listen to conversations of languages in the background and repeat phrases/conversations.

I listen to songs in my target language. Once in a while I try to dissect the lyrics.

Sometimes I listen to podcasts but I’m still searching for which one is right for me.

I want to get back into apps like Duolingo as a supplement, but it won’t be my main source of learning.
