Question for speakers of other Slavic languages: how does Serbian/Croatian sound to you? How much can you understand?

I'm asking because I'm just curious. How does Serbian/Croatian sound to you? Does it sound very different from your own language? How much can you understand? Ever considered learning it?

What languages sounds similar to it?

Speakers of other languages (not only Slavic) can also comment especially regarding the sounding of language and if it's on their list of languages worthy of exploration/learning at some point.
