How does this happen? I can understand quebecois / french movies, people speaking around me and to me, slang all that jazz so well I don't actually notice people are speaking a different language- it computes in my brain immediately. Writing in french is fine too, I can translate things on paper as they're being said. But when I go to speak or respond I can't find the words, it's like I've only learned very basic french. I know I need to practice speaking more but it is hard to find the spaces where I can do that in my city. Any tips out there for this??
