Using images to learn vocabulary VS direct translation to the native language, which one is more effective?
Hello everyone, I love learning languages and I have a question. Do you think it's very effective to use images when learning vocabulary in a foreign language? I had a Spanish teacher that showed me images all the time whenever there is a word that I don't understand.
What about direct translation? If the teacher speaks the native language of the learner and he/she can translate it directly so maybe the learner will feel more related? What do you think?
