I am a B1 in Spanish a C1 in French and a native English speaker I'm also an A1 in German. It has taken me YEARS to get there. I used to like learning languages but honestly it hasn't really done anything for me. It hasn't helped me get jobs and it hasn't helped me earn more money. I have been able to communicate with some people but for the amount of effort it's taken me to learn/upkeep, I wouldn't say it's been worth the time.
I am also incredibly stupid, so it takes me much longer to learn than it does for other people.
