I currently teach ESL, and I recently received an offer to teach Persian at a college. My instinct is to try to avoid English and only speak Persian with the students, but I’m worried that the writing system and overall distance between Persian and English might make this too difficult. I’m wondering if anybody has had any experience with this and could shed some light.
