It seems like there should be a set amount of audio, that if you can understand it all then you can basically understand anything in a given language at a certain level of proficiency, right? Because certainly there is a finite number of audio required and not an infinite number. So what do you think that number is for most languages?
For instance, if you had 100 hours of audio of native Russian speakers talking and you could understand everything then that would mean you can pretty much understand Russian on a certain level of proficiency, such as C1 or C2. I used 100 hours as an example, but how many hours would it take to reach a C1 or C2 level?
Of course, it would all depend on the content of the audio, but I'm looking for the minimum amount of audio, which means, minimal amount of repetition in the words and phrases, in order to make it as efficient as possible to learn as much as possible in the shortest amount of time.
