I'm trying to learn Portuguese and while I'm rusty in Spanish, I still know a significant amount of words and pronunciations. I am accidentally using Spanish words and pronunciations in place of Portuguese, and it's really starting to hinder my learning. I noticed that when I was learning Japanese and Mandarin, I had the same issue. Is there a solution to this? I genuinely don't know what to do. I am not practicing both during the same time period either, the Spanish is all from memory.
