Hi, I was wondering if anyone else here initially started learning language just to interact with their family. I learned German because both of my parents speak it, and my dad's side of the family is entirely German and Austrian. I would like to tackle Romanian, Hebrew, or Polish sometime because that's what my mom's family speaks. Would love to hear y'all's stories and advice about learning language to talk to family with.
