Monolingual vs. Bilingual Grammar Textbook

I’m new to language-learning (I’ve been learning French for a little over a week now), and I was thinking about getting a grammar book. I’ve looked up recommendations for textbooks, and most of them seem to be strictly monolingual. As a newbie, I’d most certainly not be able to understand much of what’s being said, so would it be okay to opt for a bilingual text instead? Would it hinder the learning process in any way?
