I’ll take it for granted that the version you grew up has a special place in your heart, but if you are absolutely convinced that the Jingle Bells you grew up with is superior in every way to, say, Vive Le Vent (or vice versa), then feel free to say so. Likewise if you think the version you grew up with is a dud, please share!
So what are your favorite and least favorite holiday song versions? Which translations make no sense or are just plain clunky? Which song failed to reach its potential in its original language but found its apotheosis in another language?
