What language level would a university education be able to get the average student?

I’ve been thinking about this a little bit and figured I would ask this sub. Have any of you majored in a language and if so, how far did the program get you? I understand that the more you study, the better. I was thinking maybe high B2-C1 but I’d never know without asking. Thanks!
