I have the opportunity to go to either Ecuador or Brazil and I want to choose whether to learn Portuguese or Spanish. I am already fairly knowledgeable in French, and I have friends that speak both languages. I live in the US, and no one in my family speaks either. Now the hard part, I am more interested in the Portuguese language, but more interested in the Ecuador trip, as well as Spanish being very common in the US. Not to say that I don't like the brazil one, its just that I am more interested in Ecuador.
