As an American, I certainly have my reasons and explanations for why I’m technically still monolingual (I took 4 years of Spanish in high school, but learned less than half of what I should have. Had a terrible learning experience to say the least.) I want to know what others think about this subject though. Please comment your thoughts and tell me where you’re from. Thanks.
