What level would be good to go for if I want to learn multiple languages conversationally

I don’t really care about being close to native or completely fluent in another language but there’s a few I want to be able to have conversation with natives in, consume media in those languages without struggling and conduct business in. (best way I can explain it so sorry if it’s hard to understand)

So which level would I go for and then can switch to another language? Should I aim for C1, C2 or would a B2 be fine for what I want?
