I’ve always wondered this for gendered languages- if someone asks you about your (female) dog, do you use the feminine form of “dog”? Is it considered a derogatory term like “bitch”? Do you talk about your dog in the masculine and then add that she’s a “her”? Thanks in advance and apologies to the non-binary dogs out there :)
