Biased

I want to learn Spanish because my whole family speaks it.

However I struggle having to translate everything to English first. Is that just how it is in the beginning of language learning? For instance when I say water I mean water but when I say agua I have the habbit of thinking water first. Is this a problem with all first languages, do Spanish speakers (1st language) translate water in to agua when they say it?

If this habbit is natural how do you get away from translating every word before you say it. Is it possible to think from a 1st language perspective on any language learned? Or are we doomed to be infinity biased on our first words?
