Where to start?

Hi all!

I have taken a recent interest in languages and learning languages is something that i want to be able to do. The only problem is there is so much content out there and i really don’t know how to start a language as an absolute beginner. I have seen a lot of people suggest reading but i do not know how this can work for someone at a starting level as they cannot understand most or any of the text. What is the beat way to start learning a language as an absolute beginner?
