Hi! I’m currently majoring in Communications. I just started school so my career goals aren’t set in stone but I’d like to be a journalist, and I think learning Spanish would give me a great edge in the field. Plus, it’s just something I’ve always wanted to do. Has anyone taken a foreign language as a minor? From my research, I won’t be even close to fluent by graduation time but will have a good groundwork and should be able to speak conversationally. Is this accurate? Would I be better off learning on my own, and using my minor towards something else? Any advice is appreciated
