English is my native language, but I’ve spoken and learned French since elementary school — I also grew up in a Portuguese family. I’ve been slowly learning Italian and Spanish, and I’ve noticed that I have a consistent problem of mixing them all up while speaking or even just thinking.
I don’t usually mix English in, unless I don’t know the word, but sometimes when I think, I produce sentences like “eu veut visitar mi famiglia no europa” — which isn’t very helpful to me or the person I’m speaking to.
They’re all latin-based, so I guess it makes sense but I was wondering if anyone had any tips for that?
(for reference, I’m around a B2 in French, a B1/A2 in Portuguese, an A2 for Spanish and an A1 for Italian)
