I have been studying Arabic for 4 months and I struggle to remember words. Do you have any tips or tricks? More details - I am a native French speaker and fluent in other Western European languages. I use word and meaning similarity to remember, often using Latin or Germanic roots. It’s fun and works really well, but not with Arabic, although I have seen some exceptions like earth (أرض) that’s almost like German Erde or bull (الثور) that sounds like Taureau in French, probably due to common ancient languages.
