I'm a software developer looking for ideas and also interesting in learning languages.
I've used apps like Duolingo before but something that these apps lack is that there is not enough repetition of hearing people talk... There is some repetition but I think to get fluent you need a huge amount of repetition. But watching tv shows in netflix in the language your are trying to learn I find too hard often because I'm just not advanced enough to understand most of it.
I think comprehensible input is good for this (an example of comprehensible input is this: https://youtu.be/c2SUQVjklVA) because it gives lots of repetition but is much easier to understand. But there are not many youtube channels or other recourses that do this.
So perhaps an app where users submit there own self created comprehensible input videos for others (and possible can get paid for it eventually if the app has a subscription or ad based revenue model).
And the app could feature tools for creating videos too, such as adding images to the video at particular points to help illustrate what the person is saying when hand gestures or body language aren't enough.
