Is Luca Lampariello's bidirectional method actually good and/or effective?

I've been studying italian for about two month now (my native language is Spanish and I'm compsletely fluent in English), and I was curious about this method that Luca has said to use in most of his language learning. So I was wondering, is it actually good, and should I implement it in my learning routine? So, what do you guys think? Have you tried it? Has it been useful?
