Asking this here because lack of other subs to ask this in... There are a few Michel Thomas language tracks where he talks about a ‘nose’ rule, what does he mean?

I have noticed he speaks about the ‘nose’ rule in some of his tracks. I only know them to be in the Romance language tracks, but whenever I’ve heard him explain it... I just don’t get it. I don’t even know what the nose rule is supposed to fix/help. I have listened to him explain his nose rule multiple times, but I guess I just get lost in the explanation.
