Does anyone else feel shy when speaking their heritage language?

Even if you’re highly proficient in it, do you feel less confident when using the language your parents/family taught you than you do with other languages? For example, I can think and dream in my heritage language, but I’m more comfortable using my third in spite of making errors. In my case, I think it’s because I’m assumed to be a native speaker. What are your thoughts and experiences on this?
