It’s something I’ve never understood. What do they mean by speech that’s not clearly structured? Is it what I hear on TV in movies or shows or what I hear when I hear two native speakers talking to each other? Is structured speech referring to stuff like speeches or news reports?

I can understand extended speech even when it is not clearly structured and when relationships are only implied and not signalled explicitly. I can understand television programmes and films without too much effort.
