Would it be beneficial to learn an accent while speaking English to get a better accent in the language you are studying?

I speak English as my native language and have been studying French for a while now. I started learning French in school just because I live In Canada, but the school system (Atleast where I live) wasn’t great for learning a proper accent. Would learning how to speak English in a French accent help me speak in a better accent? Much love from Canada <3
