It sometimes feels like no matter how hard I try I always have a foreign accent. My main problem is vowels, For me “bed” and “bad”, “cut” and “cat”, “dad” and “dead” all sound the same. I learned English because I lived in Canada for two years when I was really young but somehow I still don’t sound native. I heard that you need to surround yourself with native speakers but I already watch tv in English and speak with native speakers. I know a lot of people that learned English at an older age through tv and studying but still sound more natural than me.
