I'm intermediate in Spanish and have begun trying to watch shows and movies in Spanish to better my listening skills. It's still difficult for me to follow shows without using english subtitles. I pick up on key information, but miss a lot. Would turning on english subtitles so I don't get lost inhibit my learning at all and mess up the whole immersion factor I'm going for? I'm not sure if it's even helping me to watch things without the subs when I don't understand all of what I'm hearing.
