How are the variations of German different from each other? (Austrian, Swiss and 'Standard from Germany'). I've read that the main differences are in vocabulary, but can they all understand each other easily? Or is it hard? I'm thinking it would be similar to someone from Spain speaking Spanish with someone from Latin America perhaps? Thanks for the insight.
