[Self study] Any methods for learning how to make sentences that are correct without spending time doing grammar?

"I don't understand grammar, as a consequence I don't like it"

I am self-studying a foreign language, but I have no clue on how to build correct sentences in my target language.

As far as I am concerned I sound like this: Hi! Can study language foreign, and like me very much. When in reality I want to say: Hi! I am studying a foreign language, and I like it very much.

How to deal with this? And how did you deal with it?
