My Husband and are both using the Drops App for Japanese but we are getting differing wait times and we don't know why?

My husband was using Drops to learn Japanese and recommended it, so I gave it a shot. Whereas he can practice twice a day with a wait time of 10 hours per session, mine is forcing me to wait 18 hours between sessions. I have an iPhone and he has Android. Everything we've read says it's supposed to be a 10 hour wait time. Is there a reason for this? Is mine malfunctioning?
