Would you generally agree that it is better to read in translation than read in a second or third language wherewith you aren't intimate? For example, if someone wanted to read the philosopher Peter Wessel Zapffe in Norwegian, but they are only at a B1-B2 level, wouldn't reading him at such a level be akin to reading a second-rate translation? Wouldn't it be better to simply find great translations in a language you profoundly understand?
