What are some popular food dishes from your target languages' culture? Have you had the chance to try them?

I was able to try many different foods while on my trip to France and Italy last year—but more recently with Portuguese, I visited a local Brazilian grocery/restaurant (not a steakhouse) where I tried pão de queijo (cheese bread) and coxinhas (a sort of battered and fried dumpling). Both delicious!
