I was initially thinking that I wanted to get the basics of Farsi sounds, basic phrases, etc. down on my own and then graduate to a teacher/tutor later, but now I’m not so sure. What do you think is the best way to start learning a brand new language with very limited to no selection of Farsi tutors nearby (and the very limited budget of a college student with student loans)? Regardless of the best way, what are some self-teaching resources that really work?
I want to be able to read, write, and speak eventually. Not necessarily super fluent, but able to hold a general conversation.
