Why is english the only language where its globally accepted to not perfect the accent?

In mostly all languages its expected for native english speakers to perfect a foreign languages accent , yet for a non native, learning the english accent is not expected, and i understand the whole “english has different accents” but french also has a plethora of accents yet pronunciation is upmost important, just a shower thought
