Showerthought: in the US we use rows of letters (EFPTOZ) for vision tests. What about languages with other writing systems?
Do European languages have accents? Which system does Japanese use? What about languages where the letters get written together like Hindi or Arabic? What about Chinese, what if it's a kid who doesn't know the character? Do they use numbers, shapes, something else? Does Korean use whole syllables?
Literally a showerthought, I was trying to read the letters on the shampoo bottle without my glasses.
