I will be going to Germany next month (Munich) and am a comfortable A1/ Low A2 speaker in German and had planned on using the language in general to cashier's or whatever.

, I am kind of rethinking it. I guess my question is: should I even bother and save my knowledge for the odd sign or text? Above all else, I don't want to be judged or looked at like an idiot.
