I really don’t understand why people recommend it so often. It’s a game and it’s methods of teaching are not very effective.
People will barely progress at all using Duolingo for a hundred days but because they have all these progressions (Streak, tree, etc.), people act like they are actually improving at a reasonable rate.
It’s also important to acknowledge that for a lot of languages there are tons of errors and in every language there are still some errors. This shows that Duolingo is not 100% reliable.
And finally, you can progress so much faster and easier if you just used other methods.
